TRANSPORTATION TO THINKTANK10

Air: Two major airports service Newark, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI).

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL): Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the closest major airport.  Located seven (7) miles from downtown Philadelphia, is a 45-minute drive from the University of Delaware’s Newark, DE campus.   

 Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI): Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is a 75-minute drive from the University of Delaware’s Newark, DE campus. 

Rail: People traveling to and from Newark by train can do so via the Newark Regional Transportation Center located on South College Avenue at Mopar Drive. In addition to Amtrak service, Newark is served by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) commuter rail to Philadelphia.  

Car: Driving Directions to the University of Delaware Marriott

From the north: Take I-95 South to Delaware Exit 1-B — Route 896 North, which becomes South College Avenue at the intersection of Route 4. Continue straight on South College Avenue for approx. two and a half miles, past such landmarks as the Bob Carpenter/Sports Convocation Center, the Delaware Stadium, and through the main University of Delaware campus.  Take a left onto Main Street, then the next right onto 896 North.  The UD Marriott and Clayton Conference Center will be on your right at the bottom of the hill.  

From the south: Take I-95 North to Delaware Exit 1 — Route 896 North, which becomes South College Avenue at the intersection of Route 4. Continue straight on South College Avenue for approx. two and a half miles, past such landmarks as the Bob Carpenter/Sports Convocation Center, the Delaware Stadium, and t and through the main University of Delaware campus.  Take a left onto Main Street, then the next right onto 896 North.  The UD Marriott and Clayton Conference Center will be on your right at the bottom of the hill.  

From the west: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East to Route 283 South. Continue on Route 283 South, which becomes Route 30 East outside of Lancaster, to Route 896 South. The UD Marriott and Clayton Conference Center will be on your left after you cross the Pennsylvania state line and enter Newark. 

Car Rental: You DO NOT need to rent a car to attend TT10. We will make every accommodation possible to get you from the airport to your hotel and to the airport after TT10. The University of Delaware campus and Downtown Newark is very pedestrian friendly.
